NOSEGAYS
Exclusive NOSEGAYS preview at the Zadkine Graduation Show
Graduation Show
Tuesday, 24 June 2025
De Doelen, Rotterdam
The first blooms of the 'Nosegays' haute couture collaboration with Zadkine make their debut in a living Sartorial Statues installation at the upcoming Graduation Show in Rotterdam.
A haute couture collection in progress
Like all things grown with love and intention, the Nosegays bouquet-inspired haute couture collection is taking its time to bloom. This unique collaboration with Zadkine’s emerging fashion talents is evolving into something more meaningful than we had ever envisioned. In light of this, we have chosen to let the garden grow at its own pace.
To honour the vision, dedication and integrity of the work, the full runway presentation will now take place in a grand finale next year.
Exclusive preview at the Graduation Show
As a special preview of what’s to come, four
Nosegays haute couture creations will make their debut in a living Sartorial Statues installation: a 20 minute couture performance framing the runway shows at this year's Graduation Show.

What else to see
The entire evening is organised by the Zadkine students and promises a luminous burst of young creative zest. Emerging designers and hair and make up artists deliver a showcase of bold new perspectives in two runway shows.
For the accessorising statement-makers among us, the exhibition
Meesterwerken van de Edelsmeden is an ornamental feast. Vakschool Schoonhoven, the breeding ground of many notable Dutch jewellery designers, has entered into a creative dialogue with designer David Laport. In the exhibition, goldsmithing students present their response to the provocation Less is more or Less is a bore? Expect striking, Laport-inspired creations, realised with the Zadkine B&D Lab.
Tickets
Doors open at 18:00. The
Nosegays living Sartorial Statues installation will be presented before and after the runway shows that take place at 19:30 and 20:30. The Graduation Show concludes at 22:00.
NOSEGAYS
Bridging fashion, art and education
Nosegays - an olfactory Sartorial Statues collection is a unique haute couture collaboration between Peter George d'Angelino Tap and Zadkine, powered by innovation driver B&D Lab.
Conceived and designed by artist and couturier d'Angelino Tap, the collection is themed around 'nosegays', an evocative old-world name for small bouquets, and serves as both a source of inspiration and an educational tool. Zadkine fashion students are guided through every stage of the process, from initial drafting to final finishing, culminating in a runway presentation. Throughout the project, they refine their craftsmanship and entrepreneurial skills, equipping themselves for their future careers in the fashion industry.
The project is scheduled to reach its grand finale in June 2026.

TAPESTRIES
Asphodel Meadow at Milan Design Week 2025
The ASPHODEL MEADOW tapestry makes its Milan Design Week debut, featured in the Connect with Nature and Colours by Marie-Claire Looze. The presentation is part of the cross-cultural design exhibition Vectors and Vertices.
Vectors and Vertices
The exhibition brings together designers from Politecnico di Milano scuola del design and the TU Delft to explore the future of living spaces. With a special focus on products and user experience, Vectors and Vertices presents an immersive experience of what apartments could look like in the future. The tapestry from my Asphodel Meadow series, integrated into Looze's presentation, adds a poetic layer and contributes a thoughtful, textile exploration of how nature and design can intersect to shape tomorrow's living environments. Looze, a Product Design educator at TU Delft and founder of MCL Design & Ergonomics, brings her expertise in design to this wonderful cross-cultural showcase.

Asphodel Meadow
The ASPHODEL MEADOW series is a needle-felted reimagining of its mythical namesake, a place from Homeric tradition where ordinary souls rest, later reinterpreted as a serene, flower-filled haven. This needle-felted series translates that evolution into material form, with flowing compositions and dynamic colour use that capture the cyclical rhythm of nature. It serves as a powerful reminder of our need to reconnect with the natural world—a perspective that resonates within the Connect with Nature and Colours presentation, where the tapestry finds a fitting context in a dialogue between design and the role of nature and colour in spatial practice. The exhibition runs during Milan Design Week until 13 April.

Zadkine en Peter George d'Angelino Tap presenteren grensverleggend modeproject
Rotterdam, 12 februari 2025

Salon Rusanovsky #2: Music, Fashion, and Colour with special guest Peter George d’Angelino Tap
On Thursday, 27 March 2025, the Amstelkerk in Amsterdam hosts Salon Rusanovsky #2, where Trio Rusanovsky, joined by designer and artist Peter George d’Angelino Tap, explores the connection between music, fashion, and colour in an immersive, boundary-stretching performance.
The Amstelkerk in Amsterdam will once again be transformed into an intimate musical salon for the second edition of Salon Rusanovsky. This monthly concert series, hosted by the family ensemble Trio Rusanovsky, brings a new classical music experience by collaborating with artists from various disciplines.
Exploring musical boundaries
While the ensemble plays music improvisations, they explore the limits of their classical instruments, adding unexpected sound effects and blending classical music with minimalism, early music, tango, and contemporary styles. Their performances are a constant search for the future of classical music and an up-to-date approach to it. They strongly believe in combining different art forms to tailor the musical experience to contemporary times—the reason for their collaborations with professionals from various disciplines, such as fashion design, architecture, dance, lighting design, and audiovisual art.
Guest Speaker Peter George d’Angelino Tap
This edition explores the fascinating relationship between music, fashion, and colour. Designer and textile artist Peter George d’Angelino Tap is the special guest and will expound how fashion and music influence each other. How do colours add an extra dimension to sound and style? And what role does visual art play in the perception of music?
The colour of sound
With the theme Music, Fashion, and Colour, the artists explore the possibilities of merging sound and colour, as well as designing colour instruments. During the performance, certain colours are produced alongside the sound of the music, engaging not only the ears but also the eyes, ultimately enriching the human soul as a result of the musical effect. The design and invention of the Luce instrument makes it possible to fully realize the original vision of composer Scriabin, not just in theory, but also in practice. Several concerts have already featured works such as Scriabin’s Le poème de l’extase, where the Luce instrument is included in the score.
Music, textile art, and couture
During the performance, the musicians take to the stage in unique costume creations designed by d’Angelino Tap while playing in a stage setting of monumental needle felted tapestries, and his body-based soft sculptures Sartorial Statues.
Post-show Meet & Greet
After the show, colourful snacks and drinks will be served during a Meet & Greet, where audience members have an opportunity to meet the artists and exchange thoughts on the performance.

Canto XXX: Dante-inspired Reflections on Trumpian upheaval
Getting Trumped: the depths of sociopolitical turmoil, drawing from Dante’s Inferno to warn about US elections and the Trump era
Ione era crucciata (Juno was enraged)
Holle Bolle (Hollow bulbous Gilbert)

Canto XXX, a tapestry spanning three panels, reflects on the main themes of the 30th canto from Dante’s Inferno, where the protagonist encounters impostors and falsifiers.
The conception of this triptych arose from numerous discussions with the commissioners, conversations that centred around concerns about the state of the world and the unfolding events of the US elections. One prominent theme was the questioning of justice, as Lady Justice appears to have lost her blindness. Additionally, there were reflections on the boundless greed and the emergence of a surreal world where reality is distorted, where up is down and left is right. With "Ione era crucciata," loosely translated as "Juno was enraged," directly echoing the opening line of Canto XXX, the work not only pays homage but also sets the tone for the pervasive bewilderment that inspired the triptych.
EXHIBITIONS
Das Lied von der Erde: solo show at NL=US Gallery
ROTTERDAM – Ancient wisdom and modern ecological philosophy converge in the textile journey ‘Das Lied von der Erde’ by Dutch designer and textile artist Peter George d’Angelino Tap. Inspired by Attar’s epic ‘Conference of the Birds,’ Albrecht’s Earth Emotions, and the enigmatic verses of Erda in Wagner’s Ring, d’Angelino Tap leads us on an immersive odyssey through seven needle-felted metaphorical valleys, exploring the philosophical and emotional dimensions of the relationship between humanity and the environment.
DAS LIED VON DER ERDE
5 November - 3 January 2024
NL=US Gallery
Mauritsweg 55
3012 JX Rotterdam
Opening times: Thu - Sun 12-5 pm

Seven valleys, seven truths
Attar’s 12th-century epic Sufi poem ‘The Conference of the Birds’ follows the avian quest across seven valleys in search of their legendary king, only to reveal that their monarch is a reflection of their own essence. These valleys, in turn, symbolise the vast spectrum of earthly emotions and the interplay between humanity and the environment.
Tapestries as emotional landscapes
Environmental philosopher Glenn Albrecht’s ground-breaking work on Earth Emotions significantly informs d’Angelino Tap’s tapestries. Albrecht delves deep into the emotional and psychological responses elicited by the harsh realities of environmental degradation, climate change, and the loss of biodiversity. His call for a deeper emotional connection with the earth and a shift towards an ecocentric worldview resonates profoundly in today’s global environment crisis. In d’Angelino Tap’s tapestries, Albrecht’s Earth Emotion definitions are juxtaposed with the original valleys, offering a contemporary reflection of our relationship with nature.
Voices of the Earth: Erda's prophecies
Additionally, the embroidered cryptic lines by Earth’s mother, Erda, from Richard Wagner’s ‘Der Ring des Nibelungen,’ create an oracle-like quality that emphasizes the urgency of the environmental issues we face. Wagner’s Ring cycle, rich in symbolism and allegory, underscores the destructive forces of human desire and the corruption of the natural world by our actions. It mirrors the ongoing struggle between the untamed forces of nature and humanity’s attempts to control and dominate these forces.
A call for ecocentric awareness
Through d’Angelino Tap’s work, viewers are invited to contemplate these complex narratives, forging connections between ancient allegories and the pressing environmental concerns of our modern age. This series of tapestries is a powerful reminder of the need for deeper reflection, connection with nature, and collective action to address the challenges of our time.
